Kitchen equipment includes fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The double doors from the dining kitchen lead to a TV Lounge/Sitting Room, which has TV / Sky, DVD Player, a twin-seat sofa, armchairs, coffee tables and a feature stone fireplace with electric fire. This lounge leads to the large Master Bedroom with a super-king bed, walk-in wardrobe, twin-seat sofa, dressing table & stool and bedside cabinets. A hairdryer is also supplied. The en-suite Bathroom comprises a bath, walk-in shower, WC, heated towel rail and illuminated mirrored cabinet.
First Floor: Double Bedroom with king-size bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, chest of drawers. The en-suite Bathroom comprises bath and shower over bath, WC and heated towel rail. There is also a Twin Bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and chair. The twin room en-suite Bathroom has bath and shower over bath, WC, heated towel rail and illuminated mirrored cabinet.
There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, and radiators on the upper floor. Heating and electricity are included in your rental. Free WiFi is also available. Duvets and pillows, with luxury bed linen, and towels are all provided.
The garden is not enclosed or fenced, and there is a patio area with garden furniture. There is also ample parking.
Please note: Gardens/Outside areas not necessarily dog proof, even if fenced/walled. Please keep your dogs under control, especially near farm animals.

It has a lovely feel and we all enjoyed staying there. I have listed some things below that might need looking at and which could potentially further improve the experience but I reiterate we loved our stay.
The shower in the main en suite did not get as hot as would be ideal - the hot/cold knob did not easily turn and appeared to make little difference to the temperature. The sink had plenty of hot water so suspect there is something wrong with the hot/cold control.
The doors between the kitchen and the sitting-room do not close properly. We had to tie up the door handles during the day when we left the dogs in the kitchen - to prevent them going into the sitting-room. The catch does not quite catch - hopefully this can be fixed as it would make things easier for dog owners and help reduce dog hairs on furniture.
The towels seemed quite small - bigger would be nicer.
Some people sleep better in dark rooms - the curtains sit out from the windows as well allowing some light through them - adding pelmets or simply a blind behind them would help light sleepers sleep bettter in the summer. The automatic blinds on the velux also let in quite a lot of light - I have seen better velux blinds.

Beautiful, warm, large cottage. Ideal location for getting out and about and exploring North Yorkshire. Large stone floored entrance hall was ideal for dealing with muddy, damp dogs when we arrived back from walks.
A couple of very minor items. Dishwasher wasn't washing very well and several light bulbs needed replacing during our stay.

A very spacious property in the most beautiful location. The second time that we have visited Granary Cottage and we were not disappointed.
The oven is not user friendly and the new sofa in the living room is quite uncomfortable. The ensuite to the upstairs double bedroom was very smelly and had to keep the window wide open which was fine as the weather was warm. Didn't find that the smell disappeared when the water was run. Overall though this is a lovely house and we had a great holiday enjoying Dalby Forest and the coast.

This was our third visit. We love the view and tranquility! The beds are really comfortable.
Any issues attended to immediately. It would be good to have a cd player or music system. TV signal was a problem but it didn't bother us.

Cottage facilities were commensurate with the higher price paid. Excellent condition both the furnishings and the good decorative order.
As noted above the condition of the cottage was excellent, there are no issues requiring improvement that are important enough to need addressing.

Well presented, excellent sitting room and drawing room, bedrooms excellent size and all ensuite. Quite location on working farm.
Kitchen and dining area too small and cooking for 6 plus was hampered by lack of decent selection of pots and pans.
Cancellation: The Holidaymaker is liable for the total hire charge unless written notice of the intention to cancel the booking is received at least eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. The deposit paid to confirm the booking, and other monies paid, will only be refunded if the Owner is able to re-let the holiday cottage for the period of the holiday let. In the event of re-letting, the Owner will retain the sum of 100GBP to cover administrative costs and (subject to deduction of that sum) refund to the Holidaymaker the balance of monies received from the Holidaymaker, or the sum received from re-letting whichever sum shall be the lower. Every effort will be made to re-let a cancelled booking, but the Holidaymaker is advised to take out holiday insurance to cover that eventuality.
