The cottage has been done up to a high standard, is really comfortable and cosy. We particularly like the underfloor heating and individual thermostats in each room. The location is perfect for a quiet get-away but close enough to amenities. The guest information folder is well presented, with comprehensive details. We particularly liked the supply of photocopied OS maps. Communications with Country Cottage Holidays were excellent, and we felt we'd had good but unobtrusive personal service. We would certainly recommend it to friends. |

There wasn't a calorie in the cottage on arrival! Some milk in the fridge and some tea and coffee bags would have been welcome. (I suppose this is what we had expected, as we always leave our holiday cottage guests with a 'welcome pack' of goodies for that first cuppa and cake).
The downstairs loo seat was wobbly - we tightened it up the best we could without tools, but that might need attention if you've not already done so.
The vacuum cleaner wasn't picking up - turned out the filters were clogged so we gave it a quick service. Not brilliant at picking up do hairs, but adequate.
These are just small points which are easily sorted. |

Great location and usual standard of accommodation from country cottage holidays |

Set of champagne flutes and some matching wine glasses. Some extra crockery would be useful so dishwasher does not have to run on half amount |

Generally an excellent short break, spoiled only by the poor seating in the living room, which was rather past its best.
The location is wonderful and really quiet….not easy find these days. |

Lack of hot water for a couple of mornings, but resolved quickly and with no further problems.
Small leak from kitchen tap reported. |

We've stayed at this cottage twice, and both times, we've been hugely impressed by your customer service (many thanks for sorting out the bright light in the downstairs bedroom after our first visit, and for providing us with the missing towels so quickly this time). The location of this cottage is excellent, and it's very comfortable. |

I wonder whether the oven in this property is starting to play up. We put it on to pre-heat once and found that it failed to do so; the only way we could get it to start to heat was to turn it off and on again on the wall. On two other occasions, the oven refused to turn off once we had stopped using it. It wasn't just the fan staying on for a while; it continued to belt out heat for another half hour after we had turned it off. Again, the only way to stop it was to turn it off on the wall. All other days, it worked fine. Perhaps worth keeping an eye on this and seeing if anyone else reports a problem. |

Ideal location for relaxing and chilling out. |
|
Only 2 tea plates. Small frying pan too small to fry for family of 4! All mattress protectors stained. Did not use 1st floor shower due to worrying safety issue. Water not only poured down sitting room wall, but it poured into a “live” double 13amp electrical socket! Armchairs and sofa….dog hairs, stained and in need of replacing! |

Absolutely amazing we had a fantastic time and the cottage was beautiful and clean. The surrounding area was idyllic and views from the cottage were unbelievable. |

We have stayed at this cottage on several occasions. We enjoy the peaceful location, the view and the standard of accommodation. |

As the cottage and house are sometimes rented to a larger party, perhaps checking that both have got the correct equipment. |
