What our guests say…

"Compact, clean, modern and exceptionally well-equipped. Perfect for 2-4 people. Two minutes walk from the centre of town, with a great view over the fells to both front and back. Loads of walks right on the doorstep, from easy to challenging. The only downside not mentioned in the property description, which is otherwise scrupulously accurate, is that it is located on the main through traffic route, which might put some people off, though it did not bother us. In any case, there is little traffic after 10pm. We never had a problem finding on-street parking opposite or close to the property, though this might be different in summer. The nearest car park is two minutes walk away, and the hosts provide a free parking pass."

"Great base for walking in the Yorkshire Dales and also the Lake District. Christina's cottage is located in a beautiful little village, is really cosy, and has all you need (except for a washing machine!); a nice place to come home to after a day out in nature. We would like to come back some day. Thank you!"

"Fantastic location in a lovely little town - you can step out of the door and be up on the fells in a few minutes, but are also well-connected to reach the wider Dales or even the Lake District in a short time by car. Great place with a very well-appointed kitchen and great quality of all other facilities - only a single caveat: maybe not entirely suitable for very tall people, the ceilings are quite low upstairs, especially in the bathroom!"

"This was our 3rd stay at Primrose Cottage. It is very well equipped, lovely furnishings and in easy walking distance of very nice shops - deli, gift, restaurant/bread maker - not to mention a fantastic pub. It is only 15 minutes drive to Kendal and the Lake District. Fabulous walking in the Dales."

"Primrose cottage is truly a home from home with everything for a comfortable stay: a super, well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge dining room, cloakroom, house bath/shower room and wonderfully comfortable beds. Located close to Sedbergh's shops including many book shops especially the extensively stocked Westwood Books. A great base for exploring both the Dales and the Lakes, highly recommended"

"Beautiful cottage, really nicely furnished with a lovely kitchen and gas fire, very comfortable. The location was perfect for lots of good walking in the Howgills, and Sedbergh is a very nice town with some amazing shops. Country Cottages were brilliant at communicating everything, accommodating, and on hand to help at any time."
